taskQu3st Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 17, 2025
taskQu3st respects your right to privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as the user.
Data We Collect
Tasks & Notes
All task data you create is stored locally on your device. taskQu3st does not transmit or link your personal data to our servers.
Crash Reports
taskQu3st uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and error logs. This data helps us identify and fix bugs to improve app stability. Crash reports are anonymized and cannot be linked to your identity. This data collection is essential for app functionality and cannot be disabled.
Analytics (Optional)
taskQu3st may send anonymized task keywords (individual words from tasks found in task titles, subtasks, items, and notes) to our backend service via Firebase Firestore. These keywords are stored without any user identifiers and cannot be linked to you. This helps us understand general usage and improve the app. You will have the option to disable transmission of these keywords to the backend server at any time from Settings > Privacy.
Profile Images
If you choose to add a profile picture, images are stored locally on your device. taskQu3st does not access, transmit, or store your photos beyond what you explicitly select for your profile.
Local Analytics
User analytics are collected in the background locally while users interact with taskQu3st. These analytics will provide information necessary for future gamification rewards upon implementation as well as future usage analytics graphs that will be visible to the user with upcoming updates. Local user analytics collection is based solely on task-related activities and not tied to any of the user’s personally identifiable information.
Global Trends
Global Trends are fetched from our backend server but do not contain your anonymized keyword unless you have opted into keyword transmission.
Future Use of Anonymized Keywords
Anonymized keywords will be utilized to create user-centric updates in future versions including but not limited to:
- Badge images
- Feature additions
- Potential collaborations with various other entities
